JONATHAN SCHULTZ BIO

Jonathan Schultz has the distinction of combining his two passions - real estate and technology - into his role of leading Onyx Equities. Along with Cofounder, John Saraceno, Onyx has grown into one of the largest, most diversified and active real estate investment, management, and property service organizations.

Throughout Jonathan’s distinguished career in real estate, he has been able remain on the leading edge of market trends. Whether he was building a highly successful, niche brokerage firm or developing successful luxury development projects, Jonathan’s unique ability to continually meet a changing market dynamic has consistently propelled his career.  

Today, Jonathan has been key in leading the dramatic growth of Onyx, which currently employs hundreds of talented professionals. He has helped build the company's platform into one that provides an integrated array of services, including asset management, construction management, property management and leasing. Jonathan also led the effort to build Onyx’s Receivership/REO Services platform, which now manages millions of square feet across hundreds of properties and is one of the largest platforms of its kind in the tri-state area. 

Jonathan’s passion for re-invention and disruption manifests itself into his love for technology. Under his leadership, Onyx has embraced innovations that few other real estate companies have adopted, which has completely transformed every aspect of the company's operations. Recognized as a true thought leader in real estate tech, Jonathan is a regular public speaker, event panelist and noted blogger. Additionally, he serves on the advisory board of Real Estate Tech News.

Jonathan is a member of the Metro NY chapter of YPO, the premier network of chief executives and business leaders. He is a founding board member of the “Award of Courage” foundation. In this role, he raised significant funds for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and is a past recipient of their Humanitarian Award. His philanthropic efforts are now a significant part of his professional and personal life.
